What You'll Do As a Software Engineering Intern at Aajil, you'll be at the heart of our mission to enable growth for SMEs in the construction sector. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining frontend and backend components of high-scale web applications.
• Designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices for our BNPL systems.
• Building scalable, distributed solutions that handle thousands of concurrent transactions.
• Writing clean, maintainable code following design patterns and best practices.
• Contributing to architectural decisions that shape our technical infrastructure.
• Collaborating with senior engineers on system design and performance optimization.

What We're Looking For

• Exceptional problem-solving skills with proven coding ability (GitHub, competitive programming, or significant projects).
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript with experience in React/Next.js.
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts (microservices, message queues, caching, load balancing).
• Solid grasp of REST APIs, HTTP fundamentals, bonus for gRPC experience.
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and cloud services (AWS/GCP).
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Currently enrolled or recently graduated (high school to Master's level - we care about ability, not credentials).
