At Aajil, we’re rewriting how SMEs access credit through our Build Now, Pay Later (BNPL) solutions. As we scale aggressively in a capital-intensive, high-growth environment, we are seeking a Head of Finance who will own the financial strategy, fundraising, liquidity, and investor narrative—ensuring our growth is sustainable, data-driven, and aligned with shareholder expectations.

This is not a controller role.

This is for a strategic finance leader who thrives in fast-paced, venture-backed, fintech environments, balancing cash burn, unit economics, capital markets, and portfolio returns—all while partnering directly with the CEO and CRO.

What You’ll Own

Financial Strategy & Leadership:

Own Aajil's end-to-end finance strategy, aligning business growth plans, liquidity, and investor expectations.

Partner with the CEO, CRO, and executive team on board reporting, fundraising, capital allocation, pricing, and financial structuring.

Lead financial modeling for new products, markets, and credit facilities, ensuring data-driven decisions at all stages.

FP&A & Performance Management:

Build and lead the FP&A function, owning forecasting, budgeting, financial planning, and scenario modeling.

Implement real-time financial dashboards, KPIs, and analytics that inform business leaders and drive accountability.

Track and optimize unit economics, cash conversion cycles, and BNPL-specific profitability metrics.

Treasury, Liquidity & Fundraising:

Own treasury management, liquidity planning, and capital stack optimization.

Lead fundraising processes for equity, debt, and securitization facilities, partnering with investors, lenders, and rating agencies.

Manage banking, lender, and investor relationships, ensuring Aajil's capital runway and flexibility to support hypergrowth.

Investor Relations & Stakeholder Communication:

Develop and execute Aajil's investor relations strategy, crafting narratives, reporting packages, and updates for current and prospective investors.

Represent Aajil in VC, PE, and lender discussions, telling our story with credibility, precision, and data-driven insights.

Manage financial due diligence, audits, and external reporting, ensuring alignment with regulatory and investor requirements.

Cross-Functional Partnership:

Collaborate deeply with Risk, Product, Operations, and Growth teams to ensure financial strategies are embedded across the company.

Drive data-informed decision-making, ensuring finance is a partner, not a back-office function.

What We’re Looking For

8+ years of experience in venture-backed fintech, lending, or financial services, with leadership roles in finance, FP&A, or strategic finance.

Proven track record of owning financial strategy, capital planning, fundraising, and investor relations in a high-growth, capital-intensive environment.

Strong FP&A leadership experience with mastery of financial modeling, scenario planning, and unit economics optimization.

Experience with debt facilities, securitizations, structured finance, and lender management is highly preferred.

Deep understanding of BNPL, SME lending, and fintech business models and KPIs.

Executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to own board meetings, investor updates, and external finance discussions.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related fields; MBA, CFA, or CPA is a strong plus.
