At Aajil (formerly Buildnow), we’re reshaping SME trade—and we believe people are our most valuable asset. We’re looking for an HR Lead who will own the full spectrum of people operations, from strategy to execution, ensuring we hire, retain, and grow the talent that powers our fintech revolution.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in high-growth environments and is excited to build the systems, processes, and culture from the ground up.
What You’ll Be Doing
As HR Lead, you will take ownership of all aspects of the people function at Aajil, including:
HR Strategy & Execution: Design and implement scalable HR systems, policies, and procedures aligned with Aajil’s growth ambitions and values.
Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding: Lead recruitment for all roles, partnering with hiring managers to attract and hire the best talent, while enhancing Aajil’s employer brand.
People Operations: Manage day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, payroll coordination, benefits, compliance, and employee relations.
Culture & Engagement: Champion initiatives that foster an inclusive, high-performance, and feedback-driven culture.
Learning & Development: Build and drive career development frameworks, training programs, and mentorship initiatives to support employee growth.
HR Analytics: Use data to inform people decisions, track key HR KPIs, and support leadership with insights on organizational health.
What We’re Looking For
HR Lead (5+ years experience)
Proven experience leading HR in a startup or high-growth environment, ideally in fintech, technology, or B2B sectors.
Strong generalist HR capabilities, including talent acquisition, operations, compliance, and employee relations.
Track record of designing and implementing scalable HR processes and systems.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence across levels and functions.
Passion for culture-building and nurturing diverse, high-performing teams.
Fluent in English and Arabic, able to operate effectively in bilingual environments.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or related fields; certifications like CIPD or SHRM are a plus.
